THANK YOU FOR MAKING DISCARDED TO DIVINE 2009 A HUGE SUCCESS!

Our most sincere thanks to all who contributed designs, attended, sponsored, volunteered or otherwise supported the St. Vincent de Paul Society’s Fourth Annual Discarded To Divine held on May 7th, 2009! We are thrilled to share with you that this year, Discarded To Divine hosted a sell-out crowd of over 900 guests and raised more than $100,000 to support services for our city’s poor and homeless.

Discarded to Divine provides vital funding for the St. Vincent de Paul Society’s Vincentian Help Desk, one of only two agencies in the city that distributes free clothing to those in need. Over 1,200 men and women come to us each month seeking a job interview outfit, a warm coat, shoes without holes, bags of groceries or essential small household items. It is only through the kindness of our benefactors that we can help them.

Thank you! Behind those simplest of words, we hope you will hear our overwhelming gratitude. Thank you for partnering with us on Discarded To Divine 2009 and helping us care for those in need, in a world that often overlooks them.
